Ways to Practice

❇︎ Yoga

Whether you’re looking to reduce stress or build strength, yoga is full of life-changing benefits for everyone. From Power Vinyasa to gentle Chair Yoga, we offer a wide range of classes that invite any level to practice in an encouraging, judgment-free space. New to yoga? Try our Yoga 101 class to learn the fundamentals and get comfortable on the mat.

❇︎ Wellness Workshops

At Sanctuary we consider and collaborate with the whole of a student. This means that our offerings expand beyond yoga and include other invitations that round out your practice. Our Tantra workshops are a great introduction to practices that help you reconnect with your body and heal past traumas. Unfamiliar with Tantra? Our “Taste of Tantra” workshop is a great place to start!

❇︎ Restorative Practices

If you’re looking for a fresh way to relax the mind and body, our restorative practices are here to guide you. We offer cleansing sound baths, guided meditations, and even Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) classes to help you reboot throughout the week. Check out our Restore Yoga class if you’d like the rejuvenating benefits but prefer some light movement in your practice.

Prefer to flow solo? We get it!

Private Training

Although we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and judgment-free zone, we understand that some beginners feel more comfortable in a one-on-one class vs. a group setting. Private training is also open to the more advanced yogi who wants to hone in on specific goals or advanced practices. Sessions are based on your individual needs and range from 45-60 minutes in duration.

❇︎ Tantra 101 ❇︎

What is Tantra?

We understand that the world of tantra can seem confusing and intimidating at first glance. Tantra is often referenced as an exotic sexual experience, unusual sexual positions, or a form of erotic massage. This is NOT what we practice or teach here at Sanctuary Yoga & Healing. We do not offer sexual services or practices of any kind.

Tantra sessions are designed to bring your mind, body, and spirit back into connection. The teachings we offer are trauma-informed and are rooted in the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism. Sessions incorporate the 4 Pillars of Healing: Meditation, Movement, Connection, and Pleasure. Once we discuss your goals for tantra and what you’d like to get out of the experience, we’ll create a customized practice that connects to your intention.

Meet Gabby

Sanctuary Yoga & Healing was inspired by founder, Gabby Gourley’s, personal journey with yoga and Eastern medicine. After a life-long battle with an eating disorder, she discovered that yoga was the most empowering path toward her personal healing. That season revealed a passion for facilitating trauma and sexual healing through alternative practices, leading Gabby to seek out instructor training to expand her education and further her impact. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification as well as an Authentic Tantra® licensure through the Institute of Authentic Tantra Education. Gabby is also a Board Certified Sexologist through the American Board of Sexology. Sanctuary Yoga & Healing is a loving dedication to the positive transformation Gabby, herself, experienced through these modalities and this work.
